Return and exchange Policy
RETURNS AND EXCHANGE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
bestretroshoes.com offers a 21 day satisfaction guarantee.  If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will accept your return  for a refund within 21 days of your delivery date (as reported by our carrier UPS , DHL or USPS). Their are NO exceptions to this rule. The following conditions must be satisfied.
 
1RETURNED MERCHANDISE MUST BE IN NEW, SELLABLE CONDITION!

 Please, when trying on your new shoes make sure the surrounding surface is clean and free of dirt and oils. I would recommend an indoor carpeted area.       We will not accept returns and/or exchanges if there is evidence that the shoes have been worn.  bestretroshoes.com reserves the right to refuse any exchange that does not meet any condition on this page. We will be reasonable but, please understand our position.  

2. THE ORIGINAL BOX  AND ANY  ACCESORIES/CARDS MUST BE RETURNED WITH THE SHOES. ACCESORIES MUST BE IN NEW, SELLABLE CONDITION.  Please pack all material in the shoebox and put the shoe box in another container.  Returns without the box and accessories will not be accepted. (We understand that sometimes you will receive a box that is not in top notch condition.) When you are ready to return the item for exchange or refund, please email us for a return authorization.  

3. LETTER OF INSTRUCTION TO ACCOMPANY ALL RETURNS AND EXCHANGES:  To return/exchange a product you must email us your request . If you do not email us BEFORE the return/exchange, we reserve the right to deny your return or exchange. Please email your request to us here sale@bestretroshoes.com. 

4. DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHIN 21 DAYS OF THE DELIVERY DATE FOR EXCHANGE ONLY.   We will accept a defective product within 21 days. After 21 days damage is usully considered wear and tear.  We reserve the right to examine the damage to determine cause before issuing the exchange. Please understand our position on this matter. We will be reasonable in our determination.  Please note some UNACCEPTABLE reasons for return:

Slight color variation between the photo and the actual item received. Lighting can vary and cause slight color variations.

Shoes received are 1/2 size larger than ordered. As hard as we try to find exact sizes sometimes they are simply not available in the style you have chosen. This happens in a very small percentage of cases.  We reserve the right to send you a pair of shoes that is the next 1/2 size larger. Our sizes run true on most shoes. A word about the Max shoes. THEY DO RUN ABOUT 1/2 SIZE SMALL. PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS BEFORE ORDERING!!  Keep this in mind when ordering.

Claiming that you were unaware of the fact you were purchasing variant products. It is clearly stated throughout the site. 

We will not be responsible for packages "left at our doorstep." Please understand we want to service your needs but, please do not take it upon yourself to send back any product without informing us of your intentions. We pride ourselves on service but, please understand our position on this matter. 

We still maintain a very customer friendly return policy but starting Monday, January 8, 2007, we must begin charging a 15% restocking fee. We  regret this implementation but it seems that some people abused our liberal return policy. We strive to keep ourselves the most price competitive site on the internet and in order to continued to keep our prices low we felt we had to take this measure. We have thousands of satisfied customers and we want to continue providing those loyal customers a website they can depend on for low prices, high quality and outstanding customer service.

A last word about returns. Please allow processing time when returning a product or requesting a refund. In the event of an exchange we must first receive the original pair. Then we request the replacement pair from our direct manufacturer. From the time you send the original pair, to the time you receive the exchange, it could take up to 3 weeks.

A word about refunds. After your package has been received, it is inspected to insure it was received in good order. The merchandise is then returned to inventory and the letter of instruction is used to process your request. Refunds generally are done within 2 business days of our receipt. Once the refund is issued, it can take from 2 to 5 business days to reflect in your account.

RETURNS FOR PRODUCT EXCHANGE   

IF YOU ARE RETURNING FOR EXCHANGE: We have found that it is much simpler to return the item through the process listed above. When bestretroshoes.com receives the item we will reverse the appropriate amount to your chargecard or paypal account.  At that point, if you chose to purchase another item, please do so in the regular manner using our shopping cart and normal check out proceedure.

OUT OF STOCK ITEMS:  If the item you wish to purchase is currently out of stock we will notify you of this situation and you will have the choice of waiting for availability or receiving a cash refund or chosing another item from our vast inventory.

 RETURN FOR REFUND

To return your item for a refund, please email us at sale@bestretroshoes.com.  At this time we will analyze the reason for return and contact you within 24 hours. Please note the following:

 1. Return shipping charges: Customer will be responsible for any shipping to bestretroshoes.com unless product is defective. If you are requesting  a refund due to our error in processing, please contact us via phone, fax or email. Please also consider the "unacceptable reasons for return." We are reasonable with our return policy.

 2. Worn Items: Worn and used items within the 21 day period will not be accepted without return authorization. Please package your return properly.

Please allow 14 business days to properly process your return.  When shipping to us I recommend using a service such as Fedex or UPS. These companies provide tracking information. We CAN NOT be responsible for items you return to us until they have reached our facility. Thank you for understanding.
